Welcome to another update. We’ve been patching up a few bugs but we’re also excited to bring you a brand new feature. We’re taking collaboration to the next level and giving you a new way to create awesome things with your friends and fans. Introducing REMIXING!
Remixing
Magma’s new Remixing feature will let you create and share templates, and encourage fellow Magma users to add onto your artworks. Think of Draw This In Your Style challenges, fan art, character bases, or OC interactions. You can even create remixes of remixes, allowing you to make long chains of collaborative artworks.

When you post a drawing to your Gallery, you’ll get the option to choose if you want to enable it for remixing. If you do, there are two options: Creative Commons license or a Story license. Both of these are non-commercial licenses for now.

In your Feed, you'll know if someone you follow has made their artwork available for remixing by the blue Remix button or license type mentioned in the post. In the public gallery on the Homepage, you can also identify remixes and remixables by a license icon appearing in the top right of the thumbnail.

You can see more about how Remixing works in our user guide.
What is Story
Along with creating remixable artworks, we've been looking at way for artists to protect and prove ownership of their work. That's where licensing and our partnership with Story comes in.

Story is a blockchain platform that transforms intellectual property into programmable digital assets, empowering IP holders to tokenize, protect, share, and monetize their ideas in the age of AI. By bridging creativity and technology, Story fosters collaboration, innovation, and economic growth in a transparent and decentralized ecosystem. Story is backed by some of the world’s top investors including a rare three-peat led by a16z crypto.

Ready to try it?
So, are you ready to try remixing? Start by heading over to the official Magma account and find this post. Hit the Remix button and draw your original character soaring through the air with Pyro, our fiery mascot.

The try your hand creating your own template for others to remix. Remember that you need to choose a license to be able to allow remixing, and of course, skip this step when you don't want to allow remixing of your gallery posts.
Bug fixes and other updates
We’ve been hearing your feedback on the new UI and are continuing to make improvements
