We've got another update for you this week with a focus on keeping you connected with your network. An improved notification system along with browser push notifications ensures that you don't miss a message or important updates from your friends. Also, you can now pin posts in your feed and gallery. More details below!
Push Notifications
Introducing Push Notifications! By enabling your browser or webapp to send you pop-up notifications even while your app is running in the background or your screen is locked, you won't miss incoming messages from friends or invitations to draw together.
Look for the highlighted purple message in your chat window and notifications dropdown to run on browser notifications if it support these.
If you are on an iPhone or iPad, you wll first need to add the Magma app to your Home screen. Read more about how to enable push notifications for your device and change your preferences in our notifications guide.
New Notifications Preferences
Push notifications aren't the only improvement on this front… we've also unlocked much more control over the types of notifications you receive and when you get them. In your account settings and notification preferences page, we've added a list of different events that you can toggle notifications for. You can even decide how you want to be notified with either:
push notifications
in-app notifications
or email updates
You can also control notifications per canvas so that you only get updates from drawings that you want to be notified about.
Post pinning
Make sure that people viewing your profile see what you want them to by pinning your most important posts. Now you can pin posts on both your Feed and your Gallery pages. This places them at the top and will be the first thing someone sees when they check out your profile.
After you've made a post, tap on the three dots to open the menu, and find the Pin Post or Pin to mini gallery options. Pinned image posts replace the images in your profile's mini gallery and your user tooltip. Only six images can be pinned in your gallery at one time, so you will first need to unpin one when you wat to replace it.
Bux fixes and improvements
As usual, our engineering team is working hard to fix any bugs and issues found on the platform. While we aim to catch bugs before new features are released, some can sneak through. Thank you to everyone who reports these issues to us. Here are some of the improvements we've made recently:
Fixed some connection issues with voice chat;
Added recommended section to Artspace Discovery page;
Fixed issue with binned items not appearing in Artspaces;
Slightly changed the message notification sound;
