Thank you all so much for your interest in Magma and Huion's 'Eye of the Storm' competition! We've tallied up the results for the competition, and we are finally ready to announce the winners! 

If you participated, thank you for participating! It was great to see what you came up with! If you did't, we still hope you have a good time looking at the winning entries!

It was a really REALLY close judging process with such amazing entries, but ultimately, only 3 teams could take home the main prizes.

A statement on the community prize:

As for the community prize this year, we experimented with a new process to increase the visibility of all of the competition pieces on Magma by using both emails and Magma's recommended feed to showcase all posts.

As we knew that the order of posts mattered with likes and engagement, we deliberately put the pieces in our email in the reverse order as the feed, with the hope that the advantages given to pieces at the top of the post in the email would be offset by the disadvantages in being posted last in Magma's recommended list.

However, after 24 hours, we quickly realized that the beneficial effect of Magma's recommended feed was stronger than that of the email. As a result, the team acknowledges that this gave some teams an advantage, simply because they were posted at the very front of Magma's recommended feed.

To resolve this, in the future, we'll be going back to the drawing board to consider how we'll showcase the pieces more fairly. As for this contest, we've decided to add one more community prize just for this contest, calculated using a different method that we believe to be the fairest, based on the number of likes given to the canvas while taking into account the most views on the canvas.

And for your community prize based on the likes to view ratio, please give it up for: @CANE, @Glo, and @Peppermint Man

Compared to last season, the competition also got a lot fiercer. You might have already seen it from the community posts, but there were a lot of stellar entries. While we cannot feature them all, we wanted to give a shout-out to a few pieces that we felt were extremely strong.

For all of the honourable mentions below, we wanted to say that you had an excellent showing - your pieces were absolutely gorgeous, and we had a tough time deciding on the winners. We sincerely wish you the best for the next round, and we might be in touch!
