Welcome to another Magma contest. This time it’s a little different. Rather than only making an awesome artwork, we want to see you build a vibrant community. This competition is focused on Artspaces!

It’s not just about getting a lot of members in your artspace. It’s about creating an active and engaged community around a specific interest, theme, or goal. We’ve already seen some wonderful Artspaces popping up, so let’s dial it up another notch. If you’re interested in winning, take a look at the requirements below

IMPORTANT: You will need to register your Artspace for the contest and complete a second submission form near the end of the contest. Here’s the timeline:

• Register your artspace to participate by 23:59 CT/Central Time on 31 Aug 2026. REGISTER HERE

• Build an awesome community from 24 Aug -28 September 2026. Please see required activities below.

• Submit the final form between 20 - 28 September AFTER you have completed the required activities. We will send out reminders about this.

• Submissions of the final form close on 28 Sept 2026 at 23:59 CT. SUBMIT HERE

• Winners announced 5 October 2026

• Winners to continue maintaining their Artspace to receive final winnings in November.

How to participate…

Please take note of the requirements of this contest to make your Artspace eligible and stand

out in this contest.

Requirements

• OPEN to join (mandatory)
  Feel free to use roles and role-gated channels to limit access to certain areas and channels in your artspace. It’s important that it is OPEN for all to join. Check your join settings in your Artspace settings;

• A full Artspace profile
  This includes the About and Description sections, profile picture, and banner;

• full mini gallery (at least 6 public gallery image posts)
  Create things with your community and post them to your Artspace profile gallery. Make sure that the visibility of the post is set to PUBLIC so that it appears in your mini-gallery;

• Rules and moderation
  Add rules for artspace as either as text channel or content page. This is important for your members to know what is allowed, and also for your admins or moderators to keep your Artspace healthy;

• Register your Artspace by 31 August
  For your Artspace to be considered, the Artspace owner MUST register the Artspace via this link;

• Complete the final submission form by 28 September 2026.
  It is necesasary to complete the final submission form to ensure your Artspace gets reviewed for the contest.

Please only submit ONE Artspace that you own. We want you to focus your efforts on a single community during this contest.

Activity

• Host at least 1 public Art Jam
  Public Art Jams with a relevant theme to your Artspace are a great way to gather new members and show what your space is about. Host an Art Jam inside your Artspace, and then publish it to the main Art Jam page.

• Create your artspace banner together
  Make your members a part of the identity of your Artspace by creating the profile banner together. You can do this in a regular board or a members-only Art Jam.

Additional Judging Criteria

In addition to the public Art Jam and community banner, your Artspace will also be judged based on the following:

• Engaged community and healthy activity across ALL THREE areas of the Artspace
  -group/channel chat
  -feed posts and comments
  -Artspace drawings (regular boards and Art Jams)

• Content quality
  -positive and helpful
  -enthusiastic and on-theme/relevant

• Safety
  -harmful content is dealt with swiftly
  -rules are enforced

• Welcoming environment
  -new users are greeted
  -questions are answered in good time
  -overall environment and exchanges are warm and friendly

The contest will be judged by the full Magma team.

Duration

• ~1 month - 25 August until 28 September 2026
  This gives you plenty of time to nurture your community and do awesome things together

• Remember to register your Artspace for the contest and complete the final submission form

Eligibility

1. The minimum age to participate is 13 years old. Participants aged 13 to 18 must have parent or guardian approval to enter.

2. NSFW Artspaces are NOT eligible for the contest.

3. Entrants 18+ can directly receive prize payouts. Entrants under 18 must have an adult or guardian handle the prize payout on their behalf.

4. You must complete the both the registration form and final submission form your artspace to be eligible.

5. Magma staff, board, and moderators are not eligible for the contest.

Prizes

• #1 — $1,000 in Mags + 1 year Blaze (up to 5 co-owners)

• #2 — $500 + 1 year Blaze (up to 5 co-owners)

• #3 — $200 + 1 year Blaze (up to 5 co-owners)

• #4–#10 — $100 each + 1 year Blaze (up to 5 co-owners)

The winnings will be per Artspace. Artspace co-owners can decide how they want to split the Mags winnings.

Delivery of Prizes:

1. Prize payouts will be made in Mags, Magma's in-app tokens.

2. Winning Artspace owners will be contacted for information on how they'd like their winnings split with co-owners.

3. Prizes will be paid out in half immediately after winners are announced. The balance will be paid one month later on condition of ongoing activity in the Artspace.
   
   

Additional Rules:

1. You must complete the registration and submission forms for your Artspace entry to be valid

2. Originality: Entries must be your own original work. Plagiarism, copyright infringement, or the use of AI‑generated content will lead to disqualification.

3. Compliance: Entries must not contain sensitive material, including but not limited to gore, pornography, violence, political, inflammatory and or inappropriate content.

4. NSFW Artspaces are not eligible.

5. The Contest is not open to companies, educational institutions, organisations, etc. or to groups associated with such institutions.

6. Staff, Board members, and their immediate family are not eligible to enter the Contest.

Tips for growing community

• create something together - have a monthly banner drawing hangout. This can keep your Artspace profile fresh, and give your members an important part to play in the look and feel of it.

• make new members feel welcome - Check in once per day doing a check for new members to welcome them into your artspace.

• Ask and aswer questions - lead discussions by asking interesting questions to your community, and engaging with their answers
