We’re happy to announce our latest art competition — Riders of the Waterworld — in partnership with XPPEN! We can’t wait to see what you create for this one. • team - created in Magma with others

We're excited to be partnering with XPPEN for this contest. XPPen has been a global leader in digital art innovation for 20 years, with expertise in digital art products, content, and services. They focus on the needs of consumers by integrating digital art products, content, and services, specifically targeting Gen‑Z digital artists.

The challenge will end at 12:00 pm CET on June 14th, 2026! Make sure to submit your entries before the deadline! Please note the slightly different process for submitting Individual and Team entries

Contest Details:

• The theme this month is Riders of the Waterworld.

• Please take note of the How To Enter section for submission instructions.

• This competition can be entered as an individual or as a team.

• There is no fee to enter the Contest.

• By entering this contest, you grant Magma and XPPEN the right to use your submitted work in promotional materials, including emails, social media posts, and other marketing efforts. When we announce the winners, we want to include their work in our emails notifying our Magma users of the event.

• By entering this contest, the entrants agree to be bound by the submission guidelines set out below.

How to win?

There are TWO CATEGORIES to enter: Team and Individual. Please make sure that you submit for the correct one. Our main set of winners will be determined by our panel of judges: Eyekoo (Magma), Bean (Magma), and XPPEN's in-house illustrators!

Should you compete, you will be judged according to the following criteria:

• Collaboration (Team entries only): Does the artwork look like multiple artists were involved? Did the team members and other artists work together?

• Visual Clarity and Presentation: How visually clear and well-executed is the final piece?

• Theme Interpretation: How clearly and well did it address the competition’s theme?

• Originality: How creative is the artwork?

Submissions may be disqualified if the rules below are not followed.

Judge Showcase:

The judges for this contest include a mix of artists from both the Magma and XPPen teams.

Awards:

For both categories, the prizes are the same. For Team category winners, each member of the team will receive the same prize

For individual entries, there are a number of winners:

• 1st place – 1 winner

• 2nd place – 3 winners

• 3rd place – 5 winners

The prizes for each category are:

• 1st Place: XPPEN Magic Drawing Pad, $100 USD in Mags and 3 Months of Magma Blaze

• 2nd Place: XPPEN Artist 12 (3rd Gen), $50 USD in Mags and 3 Months of Magma Blaze

• 3rd Place: XPPEN Deco 01 V3, $20 USD in Mags and 3 Months of Magma Blaze

Eligibility

1. The minimum age to participate is 13 years old. Participants aged 13 to 18 must have parent or guardian approval to enter.

2. Entrants 18+ can directly receive prize payouts. Entrants under 18 must have an adult or guardian handle the prize payout on their behalf.

How to Enter:

1. How to enter - Individual

   • You can submit either traditional or digital artworks

   • We recommend Magma for digital artworks, but any drawing or painting software can be used

   • Artworks should be submitted as JPEG, PNG, or PSD format

   • Upload your artwork to https://community.xp-pen.com/events/riders-of-the-waterworld. An account is required.

   • Share your submitted artwork to Instagram, follow and tag both XPPen and Magma, and use the hashtag #MagmaWaterworldRiders for more exposure.
     
     

2. How to enter - Team

   • Gather a team of 2 to 3 people to compete with

   • Create a canvas using Magma.com. An account is required

   • Work together to bring your idea to life. You will be scored on collaborative effort.

   • Finally, submit your final piece via THIS FORM to become eligible for the competition. Only one team member needs to do this for TEAM entries.

   • Share your submitted artwork to Instagram, follow and tag both XPPen and Magma, and use the hashtag #MagmaWaterworldRiders for more exposure.

Delivery of Prizes:

1. Prize payouts will be made to adults (18+) via Tipalti in alignment with Tipalti’s Terms of Use.

2. Prizes cannot be shipped to winners residing in countries or regions subject to ongoing U.S. sanctions, and those residing in countries not covered by Tipalti’s Terms of Use. Affected winners will be notified individually.

3. Due to shipping limits for physical prizes, here’s our note for certain regions:

   Due to shipping restrictions, we are currently unable to ship to the Middle East (except UAE & Saudi Arabia), India, and Africa. Winners in these regions will receive cash instead of hardware prizes. Please note that the cash amount will be deducted for relevant fees before payment.

4. Winners who fail to provide the necessary shipping & billing details will lose eligibility for the prize. Due to Know Your Customer guidelines, you will be required to submit your first name, last name, and contact email at a minimum to receive your prize.

Additional Rules:

1. You must complete the submission form for your entry to be valid

2. Originality: Entries must be your own original work. Plagiarism, copyright infringement, or the use of AI‑generated content will lead to disqualification.

3. Compliance: Entries must not contain sensitive material, including but not limited to gore, pornography, violence, political, inflammatory and or inappropriate content.

4. Exclusivity: Entries must not include promotional material for other brands.

5. For team entries, teams must be no bigger than three artistsMagma reserves the right to disqualify entries suspected of violating the rules or artificially inflating engagement. Final decisions will be made at the discretion of the Magma team.

6. The Contest is not open to companies, educational institutions, organisations, etc. or to groups associated with such institutions.

7. Staff, Board members, and their immediate family are not eligible to enter the Contest.
