Welcome to our first update for September! Last week we released a fresh new look for the user interface, and now our big Multiboard feature is out in early access for all users.

New User Interface
Logging in to Magma this week, you would have noticed that things look a bit different! We've been working on an update to our UI for quite some time now as a necessary update to the platform. We now have a full dark mode with some revamped pages, better icons, and some slight changes to the settings and layers panels.
This unifies the design of the various parts of Magma and makes it easier for us to enable things like new themes and customization later.

Shoutout to you, our awesome community, for reporting some bugs that came up and things that weren't working for you. And to our skillful team who were quick to roll out fixes to those things already.

Multiboard
We're excited to finally give early access of the Multiboard to all of our users! Now you can have multiple active canvases together in the same workspace.
This has been many months in the making as a core feature for Magma, with creative teams in mind. You can branch off onto different boards to explore ideas or drop in references. You'll also be able to get a bird's-eye-view of your project without having to leave the editor.

We've made it possible to host Multiboard Art Jams too! Once one canvas fills up, instead of expanding it, you can simply add a new board next to it. Being able to spread your Art Jam participants across multiple boards also reduces the risk of lag when many people join!
While this is still in Early Access, we'd love to get feedback from you on how you use this or ideas you might have for it. Read more about how to use it in our Multiboard user guide.
Bug fixes and other updates
As always, there are bugs sneaking around that we try to fix with each update. Thank you to all who report these issues to us and help to improve the Magma experience:
Mostly behind the scenes performance improvements;
Multiboard bug fixes;
re-added Merge layer button to layers panel;
re-added layer rrangement buttons to layers panel;
improved layer thumbnail visibility after initial updated UI release;
fixed some translation issues in the new UI.

As always, feel free to send us your Feature Requests in Magma to let us know. If you have any questions, reach out to us on Discord or send us a message.
